MULE BASS FIVE STRING

I am not a bassist, but love to play, my major in college was instrumental music, so I have spent a lot of time with a lot of different instruments and how they play, their intonation, workmanship, tone and value for the player. I can say that the Mule is well made, easy to hold, plays in tune, has a great tone, quality components and is simply a great value. A big thanks to Dean for making great instruments at an affordable price so great sounding music continues to be played!

Exactly what I expected from Dean Zelinsky designs, a great sounding, comfortable playing, quality bass. This is the second Mule Bass I have purchased from Dean Zelinsky Guitars. I play the first Mule bass with the Rosewood fretboard so much that I wanted to try another model of the Mule with the maple fretboard. I love this one as much as I love the first one I bought from Dean. I had to wait for a very long time to get my first one because the first production lot was not in stock when I preordered it, so it is one of the very first ones sold. Dean kept me informed as to the progress through email so I never worried about there being any problems with my bass. This time the bass was in stock and arrived within the first week. The other bass players here in Nashville, that have seen me playing the Mule, all love the sound and looks of this bass. I expect more than a few of them will own one soon. Thanks again for designing great basses and guitars.

I bought a Mule 5 bass and it arrived in a well packed carton in perfect condition. It is a well designed and well built bass. The fit and finish was flawless! It played like a dream right out of the box, and sounds really good too! I have been a bassist for close to 50 years,and have owned many basses, and this one is one of the best made, in my opinion. It is of professional quality at a reasonable price, and I would recommend it to any level player. You hit a home run with this one, Dean!
